About

Born in midleton, east cork. Susan grew up next to the Ballyannon woods and Ownacurra estuary where she developed a love and connection with her landscape. Being close to so many beaches, inspiration was taken from the stony strands and the rugged coastline.

"My purpose is to take clay and make it into poetry, responding to the fabric of my environment and thus giving my pots their breath." -susan herlihy
